BBoth A and R are true, but R is not the correct explanation of A ✓ Correct
CA is true, but R is false
DA is false, but R is true
Correct answer: (B) Both A and R are true, but R is not the correct explanation of A — Both statements are true but the reason does not explain the assertion, so the answer is both true with R not explaining A.
Explanation
Both statements are true but the reason does not explain the assertion, so the answer is both true with R not explaining A.
Gandhi did write that even Swadeshi can be ridden to death if it is made a fetish.
So the assertion is true.
He also held that Swadeshi has its roots in the purest Ahimsa, that is love.
So the reason is true as well.
But this teaching on the roots of Swadeshi does not explain the warning against making it a fetish.
