Given below are two statements. Statement I: Artificial intelligence (AI) learns from changing circumstances, whereas virtual reality is an artificially created environment used to give a feeling of 'being there'. Statement II: QR, a more sophisticated type of barcode that uses a matrix of dark squares on a light background, stands for Quick Reaction. In the light of the above statements, choose the most appropriate answer from the options given below.
  • Statement I: AI learns from changing circumstances, whereas virtual reality is an artificial environment giving a feeling of being there.
  • Statement II: QR, a matrix barcode of dark squares on a light background, stands for Quick Reaction.
ABoth Statement I and Statement II are correct
BBoth Statement I and Statement II are incorrect
CStatement I is correct but Statement II is incorrect ✓ Correct
DStatement I is incorrect but Statement II is correct
Correct answer: (C) Statement I is correct but Statement II is incorrect — The answer is that Statement I is correct but Statement II is incorrect.
Explanation
The answer is that Statement I is correct but Statement II is incorrect.
AI does learn from changing circumstances and virtual reality does give a feeling of being there, so Statement I is correct.
QR is a matrix barcode, but the letters QR stand for Quick Response, not Quick Reaction.
So the expansion in Statement II is wrong, making it incorrect.
Thus only the first statement holds.
The QR code was invented to be read quickly, hence Quick Response.
So the answer is that Statement I is correct but Statement II is incorrect.
