Arrange the following senior functionaries of a central university in the correct hierarchal order:
The correct top-down order is Visitor, then Chancellor, then Vice-Chancellor, then Dean of the faculty, then Head of Department.
The Visitor, usually the President of India for a central university, stands at the very apex.
The Chancellor is the titular head of the university and ranks just below the Visitor.
The Vice-Chancellor is the principal executive and academic officer who runs the university day to day.
A Dean leads an entire faculty while a Head of Department leads only one department, placing the Dean higher in the hierarchy.
For state universities the Governor commonly serves as Chancellor rather than a separate Visitor.
