The Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India, with the help of the Centre for Environment Education (CEE), ________, launched a National Environmental Awareness Campaign (NEAC) in 1986 to increase awareness about the environment in various target groups in the country.

The Centre for Environment Education, which supported the 1986 campaign, is based in Ahmedabad.

It works with the environment ministry to spread environmental awareness among target groups nationwide.

Chennai hosts other research bodies but is not the seat of the CEE.

Delhi, the national capital, is not where the CEE is located.

Hyderabad has environmental institutions yet is not the CEE base either.

The CEE was established in 1984 as a national centre of excellence in environmental education.
