Let the employees in Company C be x, so the employees in Company D are 3x.
In Company C the Arts graduates are 100 minus 30 minus 30, which is 40 percent.
So the Arts graduates in Company C are 40 percent of x, which is 0.4x.
In Company D the Arts graduates are 20 percent of 3x, which is 0.6x.
Their difference 0.6x minus 0.4x equals 0.2x, and this is 480.
So x is 480 divided by 0.2, which is 2400.
