In Company E, if the average number of Arts graduate and Commerce graduate employees is 377, then the number of employees in Company E is
The number of employees in Company E is 1160, so the answer is 1160.
Let the employees in Company E be x, with 35 percent Science and 50 percent Commerce graduates.
So the Arts graduates are 100 minus 35 minus 50, which is 15 percent of x.
The Commerce graduates are 50 percent of x.
Their average is half of 15 percent plus 50 percent of x, which is 32.5 percent of x, and this is 377.
So x is 377 divided by 0.325.
That equals 1160.
