Intuitive thinking

Intuitive thinking, arriving at plausible answers by leaps without formal analytic steps, is a natural part of the process of discovery.

Bruner held that such tentative, hunch based leaps precede and guide later rigorous verification in learning.

Traditional teaching has largely discouraged, not encouraged, intuition by rewarding only step by step analytic reasoning.

Calling it not a cognitive process is wrong, since it is a genuine mode of thought and information processing.

The none option fails because a correct description, part of discovery, is available.
