The number of tickets of movie D sold in Kolkata is approximately what percent less than the number of tickets of movie B sold in Chandigarh?
A22 ✓ Correct
B21
C23
D19
Correct answer: (A) 22 — The answer is about 22 percent.
Explanation
The answer is about 22 percent.
Movie D in Kolkata sold 10500 tickets.
Movie B in Chandigarh sold 13500 tickets.
The difference is 13500 minus 10500, which is 3000.
The percentage is 3000 divided by 13500, times 100.
That is about 22.22 percent, or 22 percent.
So the answer is 22.
