What is the ratio of the number of employees who prefer travelling by Bus from company C to that of company D?
The ratio is 48 to 13, so the answer is 48 : 13.
Since the three modes total 100%, the own-vehicle share is 100 minus the Metro and Bus percentages.
For company C the own-vehicle share is 15%, so 384 is 15% of the total, giving 2560 employees.
For company D the own-vehicle share is 14%, so 182 is 14% of the total, giving 1300 employees.
Bus users in C are 30% of 2560, which is 768, and in D are 16% of 1300, which is 208.
The ratio 768 to 208 reduces to 48 to 13.
The total for each company is recovered by dividing the own-vehicle count by its own-vehicle percentage.
