What is the total number of D type books in both the shops?
Type D in Shop-I = 16% of 12600 = 2016.
Type D in Shop-II = 12% of 14500 = 1740.
Total D = 2016 + 1740 = 3756.
Each shop's D-count is found separately because the totals (12600 and 14500) are unequal.
Options 3618, 3576 and 3816 arise from mis-multiplying a percentage or a total.
Adding the raw counts, not the percentages, gives the correct combined figure.
