Banks D and F hired 15 percent more POs than their requirement. After one year, the total strength of the staff in both D and F was brought down to the original strength through retrenchment of some employees. By what percent is the retrenchment more or less in Bank D than in Bank F?
The retrenchment is 46.43 percent more in Bank D, so that is the answer.
The POs required in Bank D are 10 percent of 820, which is 82, so the retrenchment there is 15 percent of 82, which is 12.3.
The POs required in Bank F are 10 percent of 560, which is 56, so the retrenchment there is 15 percent of 56, which is 8.4.
Bank D retrenches more than Bank F.
The difference is 12.3 minus 8.4, which is 3.9.
As a percentage of the Bank F retrenchment this is 3.9 over 8.4 times 100.
That is about 46.43 percent more in Bank D.
