What is the respective ratio of the total number of students studying B.C.A. in colleges C and E together to those studying B.A. in colleges A and B together?
A24:23
B25:27
C29:23 ✓ Correct
D29:27
Correct answer: (C) 29:23 — The answer is 29 to 23.
Explanation
The answer is 29 to 23.
B.C.A. in colleges C and E is 300 plus 425, which is 725.
B.A. in colleges A and B is 275 plus 300, which is 575.
So the ratio is 725 to 575.
Dividing both by 25 gives 29 to 23.
So the ratio simplifies to 29 to 23.
So the answer is 29 to 23.
