If M and N represent the number of students admitted to Colleges S and Q respectively from 2017 to 2021, then M minus N equals
A830 ✓ Correct
B790
C870
D770
Correct answer: (A) 830 — The answer is 830.
Explanation
The answer is 830.
College S admitted 880, 800, 790, 840 and 920, which total 4230.
College Q admitted 900, 650, 570, 600 and 680, which total 3400.
So M is 4230 and N is 3400.
The difference M minus N is 4230 minus 3400.
That equals 830.
So the answer is 830.
